You don't have to be a trained artist to use art as a therapeutic tool. The creative process is just as or more important than the final product. In this session, we will explore how dementia affects the creative process. Relaxation exercises which we can use not only for our clients but utilize for ourselves so that we can tap into our own creativity will be shared. We will touch on palliative care and hospice. An overview of the basics: materials, tools, adaptive devices, and program ideas, even the meaning of color, will also be explored.
