Every year NAAP recognizes those individuals who have made a difference in the lives of those they serve. The following awards are given:
- Activity Professional of the Year
- Rising Star Award
- Quality of Excellence Award
- Volunteer of the Year
Activity Professional of the Year is presented to an Activity Professional who is a NAAP Member who has made outstanding contributions to the field of activities, exemplifying dedication and service.
Quality of Excellence Award is presented to a caregiver in a facility who goes above and beyond caring for the whole person, recognizing the importance of meaningful activities and quality of life. Must be nominated by a facility that employs at least one NAAP member. Consider Administrator, Environmental Services, Dining Services, Pastoral Care, Social Services, Nursing, and Maintenance Personnel.
Rising Star Award (2 years or less in the field) is presented to an Activity Professional who has made outstanding contribution to the field of activities within 2 years or less in the field. This person has demonstrated outstanding skills within their position and provided quality of care to their residents/clients. Must be nominated by a facility that employs at least one NAAP member.
Volunteer of the Year is presented to a Volunteer or Junior Volunteer who has demonstrated commitment and uniqueness of service to volunteerism. All qualifying nominees will be honored via video and will be provided a certificate of appreciation.
All nominees should fill out this form. You will be contacted by the Awards Chair who will then obtain more information about the nominee. Awards, with the exception of the Volunteer, will be presented at the NAAP Annual Conference. The nominator of the Volunteer of the Year will be asked to film the Volunteer and NAAP will edit.
