NAAP Diversity Advancement Scholarship
The National Association of Activity Professionals takes a straightforward approach to diversity. We welcome everyone! We cultivate a culture in which our members can express their true selves within the communities they serve. We promote diversity through our Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics. We foster an environment where everyone feels valued and respected, with the chance to contribute to our shared success.
The NAAP Diversity Advancement Scholarship was developed to create interest and awareness in the field of Therapeutic Activity services with people of color and other minorities by providing financial support for education in; activity services, therapeutic recreation, geriatrics and other healthcare related fields. The educational support is intended to support direct work as an Activity Director or Associate as described by the NAAP Standards of Practice.

“With this scholarship, I was able to pay for and successfully complete the MEPAP 2 course offered through Collins Healthcare Education, Inc. Â The MEPAP 2 course was instrumental in providing me with knowledge and practical experience I need to successfully manage an activities department; and the course is helpful now as I prepare to take the national exam for ADC. Â Thank you for the opportunity to get closer to reaching my goal of becoming a nationally certified Activity Director.”
