If You Want It Ready for the Holiday Season, Start Planning Now

It might only be September, but if you work in activities or life enrichment, the holiday season is a lot closer than it feels. December has a way of arriving very quickly.  Suddenly you’re trying to find an entertainer who still has availability, organize resident gifts, schedule a holiday outing, recruit volunteers, decorate the entire community, and somehow rehearse a resident choir that has met twice.  Some holiday programs can absolutely be planned in December. Others need weeks or even months of preparation. If you want these things happening in November and December, September is the time to start.
