NAAP Annual Conference Recap: Beyond the Ordinary
| Elevating Engagement, Celebrating Excellence |
| The National Association of Activity Professionals (NAAP) Annual Conference “Beyond the Ordinary” once again brought together passionate, purpose-driven professionals dedicated to advancing quality of life through meaningful engagement. This year’s conference was a powerful reflection of NAAP’s vision—to position engagement as a core indicator of quality by equipping professionals with the tools to capture the depth, meaning, and impact of their work. Attendees experienced dynamic education, innovative ideas, and collaborative discussions that reinforced the vital role of activity professionals within interdisciplinary care. Our keynote speaker, Mike McGuire, inspired attendees with a message centered on adaptability and presence, challenging us to think on our feet and embrace the moments that define our impact. His message reminded us that excellence is not just planned—it is lived in real time through intention and purpose. Closing the conference, Dan Kilker energized the audience with a creative and thought-provoking perspective on building meaningful engagement through “Lego Therapy.” His message encouraged us to think differently, create boldly, and design experiences that foster connection, growth, and joy. A cornerstone of the conference was the celebration of outstanding leaders within our profession. We were honored to recognize the following award recipients:
