Nominations are now open for Awards for the 2021 NAAP Conference to be held in April 2021 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Nominations will be accepted until January 31, 2021.
Nominators will be contacted after that date.
Only online submissions will be accepted.
Every year, the National Association of Activity Professionals recognizes those very special individuals who have made a positive difference in the lives of those they serve.
The following awards to consider:
- Activity Professional of the Year
- Rising Star Award
- Quality of Excellence Award
- Volunteer of the Year
Activity Professional of the Year is presented to an Activity Professional who is a NAAP Member and has made outstanding contributions to the field of activities, exemplifying dedication and service.
Quality of Excellence Award is presented to a caregiver in a healthcare community who goes “above and beyond”caring for the whole person, recognizing the importance of meaningful activities and Quality of Life. The nomination must originate from a community that employs at least one NAAP member. Team members that deserve consideration for this award include: Administrator, Environmental Services, Dining Services, Pastoral Care, Social Services, Nursing, and Maintenance.
Rising Star Award (2 years or less in the field) is presented to an Activity Professional who has made outstanding contributions to the field of activities. This person has demonstrated outstanding skills within his/her position and provided Quality of Care to the residents/clients. Must be nominated by a community that employs at least one NAAP member.
Volunteer of the Year is presented to a Volunteer or Junior Volunteer who has demonstrated commitment and uniqueness of service to volunteerism. All qualifying nominees will be honored via video and will receive a certificate of appreciation.
Any NAAP member that wishes to nominate an individual should fill out the Nomination Form below. You will then be contacted after the Award Nomination closing date of January 31, 2021. Awards, with the exception of the Volunteer, will be presented at the NAAP Annual Conference. The nominator of the Volunteer of the Year will be asked to film the Volunteer and NAAP will edit as needed.
