The Diversity Advancement Scholarship program aims to increase awareness of and encourage interest in Therapeutic Activity Services among people of color and individuals from historically underrepresented communities. By providing financial assistance for professional education, NAAP helps reduce barriers to learning and supports individuals as they build their knowledge, develop their skills, and advance their careers.
Scholarship awards range from $100 to $1,000 and may be applied toward eligible courses in activity services, therapeutic recreation, geriatrics, and related fields. Through this initiative, NAAP is investing in the future of our profession and supporting a diverse workforce dedicated to enhancing the quality of life, dignity, and well-being of those we serve.
