Understanding Medical and Recreational Marijuana

Did you know that as of November 2018, 33 states and Washington DC have laws legalizing marijuana. 23 states have legalized medical marijuana and 10 states and Washington DC have legalized both recreational and medical marijuana. And yet, it is still illegal in federally funded nursing homes. Under federal law, marijuana is a schedule 1 drug. Schedule 1 drugs have a high potential for abuse, not currently accepted for medical use, and/or lack accepted safety for use under medical supervision. This federal law applies to . . .
